Join a Course!

Making Theatre Gaining Skills offers a range of full-time work experience courses lasting between 1 and 3 weeks long in our new venue in Bognor Regis. Referrals are mainly through the local Job Centres. In most cases participants will need to be registered as unemployed with Jobcentre Plus and will not be charged a fee to attend.

The Bognor Institute of Laughter

Making Theatre Gaining Skills offers a range of full-time work experience courses lasting between 1 and 3 Our new comedy project will be coming out of hibernation soon and its friendly team wants to welcome everyone to join in the laughter. There’s loads of opportunities for all ages to get involved, and most of the events are free of charge: performing workshops, scriptwriting sessions, cartoon drawing, kids’ comedy club, lighting & sound – and much more. We expect to be back up and running soon.

Volunteering Opportunities

Making Theatre Gaining Skills participants are often able to join us after their course has ended as a volunteer or Peer Mentor. There are often opportunities to work with us as a volunteer. We also welcome people with specific skills to share with others including construction, carpentry, dressmaking, graphic design etc. From time to time we can offer paid internships which are generally advertised on Facebook, local job websites and industry networks.
